Cool little casino that fairly cheap. Nice servers, food decently priced here. Slots aren't tight here. I've won 9/10 times here. Way better odd here than most casinos. I stopped here by accident and keep coming back because its a good casino. I havent stayed in the rooms there yet.
This has become a favorite place to stay and play. We like the clean, comfortable rooms, the dining, and the gaming has a great mix of old and new games. Older games are getting too hard to find in the Reno locations we'd been staying in. Staff is extremely nice and expert at their jobs. Parking and getting through check in/check out is never a problem. And the pool/exercise facilities have been uncrowded and relaxing. Just watch out for the baked goods counter - the treats are well-priced and very hard to resist!
My late grandfather was a regular here and traveled here at least once a month from the 1990's to early 2000's. I decided to check this place out and venture down from South Lake Tahoe! What a cool low key place staff is super friendly and other patrons at the card tables are always nice and friendly . Food is great with great service and super affordable cafe and CV Steak is really good. TJ'S Corral is awesome to see a concert in! Great drink prices also. The small but fun sports book I really enjoy and Joey is a great guy ! We miss Walter rest his sole he also was a great very friendly guy in the sports book. I have yet to stay in the rooms but will soon only heard good things about them! It's a nice change of pace from South Lake Tahoe great small town casino vibes and friendly staff definitely be back more often! If I could say one bad thing it would be the cigarette smell from the smokers but what casino doesn't have smokers? Maybe eventually better filtration or air circulation system? but I still say 5/5 stars .
Love this place. My wife and I have been coming here for years. The steak house is top notch. French onion soup is one of the best ever! We stayed at the GSR for our anniversary last year and the food at their steak house was sub-par compared to CV steak house.
The rooms are nice. Co.fortabke beds. Service is great. Slots were fun. Both husband and I won a little. Katie's kitchen. However, eat early. The last two times we have gone for dinner late the food was spoiled.
My wife and I always stop to eat at the restaurant inside this casino when we come up to Lake Tahoe. Its become a traditional thing. We love the food and the value. Sometimes I play a slot machine or 2.
Highly recommended - for winter skiing in South Lake Tahoe or for fun gambling any time of year! Great helpful staff. Great value (especially compared to lodging prices in South Lake Tahoe!). Very flexible policy on cancelling (48 hrs notice) or changing reservations. Great casino for fun gambling for the adults. NOTE: the coffee / bakery shop has great lattes and the croissants are excellent. One cautious tip: if your room has a passageway door to adjoining room, be sure check its deadbolt is LOCKED. Sometimes housekeeping opens for easier cleaning of neighboring rooms and forgets to re-lock door to adjoining room.
I love carson valley inn I go there all the time. The only think I didnt like was that the blood orange shampoo and conditioner made my hair sticky. The food is good. The room is good.
